  When it was clear, we had a great view of downtown Melbourne from the hostel. Unfortunately, it was much drearier and less impressive this day. The tram line downtown Bored at the tram stop, taking pictures Back in the direction of the hostel from the tram stop (ok, I was really bored) Cool buildings Buildings downtown I liked this one, but I can't remember what the building was  
 

 
  Somehow, this set of building reminded me of government buildings in futuristic movies Funky-shaped buildings in the distance And if you're bored downtown, you can always watch TV... More of downtown It's always good to pull the horse and carriage over to the side if you get the desperate urge for a Slurpee... In front of a cafe... Reptilicus has his own arcade???  
 

 
  One of the few buildings that looked even cooler with the cloudy weather. The Scots Church Another shot of the copper-colored Hyatt Building Just past the strangely middle-eastern-looking building on the right was a really bizarre building that's under construction. There are a bunch of pictures of it that follow... And here's the funky building, on the left. We rode past it every day on the way to the conference. It's pretty cool-looking. Flinders Street Station is in the background. Trams and traffic. More of the funky building.
